Exchange Program

Compressor Service Company offers an exchange program to save you money on some of the more common replacement parts. The items are used and will be rebuilt to original specifications with new internal parts prior to shipment. You have the option of returning the used components you remove from your compressor to get core credits and maximize savings or you can keep them for spares.

The following shows the main components in the exchange program. If you don’t see something you would like, let them know. They may be able to customize a program to meet your specific requirements.

What options are available when buying from Compressor Service Company?

1. Used, Rebuilt – this means the item being considered (compressor, motor, cylinder assembly, etc.) will be returned to original specifications with new internal components and provided with a warranty. The price will be much lower than the cost of new.

2. As Is, Where Is – this means the item being considered will be sold as it is – without repairs or warranty of any kind.

What kind of warranty is offered on used, rebuilt compressors or components?

Compressor Service Company warrants that all used, rebuilt compressors or components will be free of defects in parts and workmanship for 90 days from the date of shipment - FOB their facility.

Who would buy used equipment with the "As Is, Where Is" terms?

The terms of "As Is, Where Is" works well for customers in the following situations:

• When a customer has several of one type of compressor and wants to have a used one for spare parts (cylinders, pistons, connecting rods, crank shafts, etc.).

• If a customer wants to add a compressor and has the manpower, knowledge and desire to handle the overhaul process.

How does the exchange program work?

The best way to explain this is with an example. If a customer buys a valve from the program, Compressor Service Company will rebuild and ship the valve at the time of the order. The valve is sold at a savings from new and offers even more savings in the way of a core credit. The credit is given to the customer when Compressor Service Company receives a used valve in return for the valve shipped at the time of the order. This credit is applied as long as the valve can be repaired and sold again as part of the exchange program. This is determined during an inspection by Compressor Service Company.

What if I need something that Compressor Service Company does not have?

They are a number of deals to acquire used compressors in progress at any given time. It is possible that they are working to purchase an item you need - so, let them know about your project. They will be very willing to help.
